Thnks fr th Mmrs, 2015

So I've been wanting to use that song title as this post title ever since I made this blog. And unlike the song, this year did have good memories, some of my best yet!

In early January, I made my instagram CarrotandClaire, and that was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

In late January, I went to Orlando, Florida. I miss it so much! It was so so beautiful.

I also went to Universal Studios. The best part was the Harry Potter section, it was so amazing!!

In February, I met Bethany Mota! I hadn't watched too many of her videos, but just meeting a famous person was worth it.

In the summer I got so much better at photography and art, and I am so glad that I found the motivation to improve.

And I obviously made this blog as well, which has been such a lovely experience! I am so glad that I have made a personal blog that I love.

In September, I finally got to watch a Doctor Who season premier live on television, and it was so fun!

October was my birthday month, and I got this laptop which I am typing on right now. ;)

A few days ago was Christmas and it has to be one of the best that I've had.

And today is New Year's eve, so hopefully many more fun memories will be made tonight!

I hope 2016 is an even better year!

And I would also like to thank all of you for ever commenting or even just reading my posts. It truly means a lot. <3

Have a fun and save holiday.

Christmas Time

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in ages, I've been sooo busy. But, as it is Christmas Eve (how?!), I thought I should have a Christmas post up.

Here is a video of all my Christmas room decor!
Just a short little video. :)

The rest of this post is just some Christmas photos I've collected over the past few weeks. Enjoy!

This is our Hogwarts Railways ornament we got in Universal Studios last year. I love it!

Christmas tree bokeh. :)

I love this. ahhh

So I really like Christmas light bokeh, ok? xD

Complete the heart.

I wish you wonderful Christmas if you celebrate it, full of family and fun!
Be safe and be happy,

My Birthday Gifts

Hi everyone! A few weeks ago was my birthday, so today I'm going to show you all what I received! This is in no way meant to brag, just a friendly show and tell if you will. ;)
And to all the people in Paris and around the world- stay safe and be strong. <3

My amazing friends gave me The Amazing Book is Not on Fire by Dan and Phil!! I was so not expecting it and it was so nice of them.

Next I received this magazine/book that I was eyeing at Michael's a while back. It's so lovely, with gorgeous photos and poems and inspirational stories...quite like this blog.

I also got SprinkleofGlitter's book, Life with a Sprinkle of Glitter.

It is filled with tons of advice and crafts and other lovely things!

This was the book I was wanting the most- Color Me Creative by Kristina Webb! I've been more into drawing lately and Kristina is such a big inspiration, so I was so excited for her book to come out. In it she tells her life story and then there are 50 creative art challenges for you to complete. I'm loving it so far!

You can also download an app, scan certain pages, and more fun extras come up! That just adds to the awesomeness.

For some reason I forgot to take a photo of this, but it is the TodHunter Moon book two, SandRider! I'm really excited to read it.
(Yes I got a lot of books, don't judge haha)

I got an Amazon gift card, so I spent it on some nice new colored pencils. They're amazing!

And finally, I got a new laptop!! My old one was already used by my dad and I'm surprised it even lasted 1 1/2 years with me. But, it has basically just turned dead, so I really wanted a new one. And my new one is what I'm typing on right now!

And of course this is my background...;)

So that is what I received for my birthday!
What have you gotten for your birthday or what is on your wishlist?

Until next time!

October Recap & November Bucket List

Hi everyone! It's already November (how?!), so I'm here with an October recap! I've also decided to put in my November bucket list, so maybe I'll actually do it this month.

Reading- I received "The Amazing Book Is Not on Fire" by Dan Howell and Phil Lester for my birthday, so I've been reading that. It's been great so far!

Watching- Season 5 of Once Upon a Time and season 9 of Doctor Who! Both have been amazing so far.

Buying- Some winter essentials, including the cutest coat ever and the comfiest pajama pants in existence! I also found some awesome gold shoes on sale for only $5 at Charlotte Russe! Definitely one of my favorite pairs that I own.

Listening- I've been listening a lot to Gabrielle Aplin's new album, Light Up the Dark! It's beyond amazing.

Loving- The fall colors, photography, candy, and friends.

For Halloween I was Emma Swan as the Dark One (from Once Upon a Time). I think it turned out pretty well!

This was my dagger. I bought the actual dagger part from a Halloween store, but I colored the main part with a silver sharpie and decorated with a think black one. I wore a black dress I found in my grandma's attic with a long cloak, with my hair in Emma's braided bun. I tried spraying my hair white, but it didn't show up in my light blonde hair. I loved my costume though!

Here's my November bucket list:
-Make hot cocoa and drink it whilst curled up in covers reading a good book.
-See Mockingjay Part 2 in theaters with my friends.
-Volunteer at our local historical society and uncover old secrets.
-Have a midnight snack. (a weird one I know, but I've never had a midnight snack)
-Frolic in the leaves.
-Spin around in circles outside.
-Make something for someone.
-Appreciate the life that I have and the world that we live in.

Until next time-

Easy Pumpkin Decorating Ideas

Hi guys! Halloween is almost here, so I got some fake pumpkins (from Michael's) to decorate. The two ways I'm going to show you are very easy, and you could do them on outdoor pumpkins as well, if you make sure they aren't out in a downpour.

For the glitter pumpkin I am using:
-Mod Podge
-Glitter (I chose gold)
-A covered work surface, since this is very messy!
-Fake or real pumpkin

1) Paint on Mod Podge at the top. It don't have to be perfect and even, the glitter will look like it's falling when it isn't perfect.

2) Shake the glitter all over the Mod Podge-covered areas.
3) Let dry and shake off the excess. You can pour the excess glitter back into its container or the garbage.

And this one is done!

This last one is hardly even a DIY. I just took a regular black Sharpie and drew a Jack-O-Lantern face on. Much easier than carving!

I really love how this one came out!

Which one is your favorite?

Until next time-
Lady Claire

crisp cold mornings enveloped in darkness.

shadowy fog, and then the sun glows through it.

sweaters, boots, and hot cocoa.

watching the leaves fall from the trees.

looking out into the distance and seeing all the reds, oranges, and yellows.

autumn has come.

and summer is all but an echo.
